As I mentioned in my last post, we’ve been hard at work on a new global navigation design. In this post you get a sneak peak of the new header that will start appearing across BLR® sites this week.
Our goal was to provide more navigation options and help you find what you need across the BLR Digital Network (our term for the dozen or so websites that BLR operates).
First, you’ll notice a cleaner design with prominent login instructions and site search. It pretty much goes without saying these days that search is often the fastest way to get to the resource you need on the current site—and it’s the first thing our site visitors often try. But sometimes you want to see what’s available beyond the existing site.
For that, you’ll find links across the top of the page.
First you’ll find a dropdown menu for each of the markets we serve (HR, Safety, Compensation, Environmental, Training). In these, you’ll find a comprehensive list of resources available, including free services (HR Daily Advisor, HR Forum, etc.) and premium compliance tools (Job Description Manager, Employee Newsletter Wizard, etc.).
Next you’ll find a dropdown menu of free white papers we offer for download.
And finally, under “more,” you’ll discover links to products from our catalog that can help you with compliance and training, a list of our premium Web services, webinars, annual conferences, and a complete index of all BLR websites.
But don’t worry, while the header has a new, cleaner, and (we hope) more functional design, the sites have the same great content and tools our subscribers rely on. Of course we are constantly working to improve those as well.
Stay tuned for my next post. I’ll be sharing some more details of our new global navigation elements.
And be sure to tell us what you think about the new headers.
