The HR Daily Advisor’s recent article, “5 Dumbest Management Concepts—Is HR One of Them?” has attracted comments from HR professionals across the country.
Many of you wrote in to the HR Daily Advisor® to express disappointment at the ideas put forth by BNET.com blogger Geoffrey James, who argued that “the entire concept of HR is really just a way to make sure that employees don’t act uppity.”
However, a large number of you also commented that James’s blog post included several good points, which highlighted the ways that the business of HR could improve.
“I was surprised by the level of response,” said HR Daily Advisor editor Stephen Bruce, PHR. “Readers' comments ranged from those applauding our courage to print an opposing viewpoint, to those aghast at James’s remarks.”
All of your feedback was collected in the HR Daily Advisor’s February 25th Epinion, “HR a Dumb Concept? Many Readers Agree!”
